Expander expanders SMALLEY Linear, radial, etc.
Linear expanders are continuous sinusoidal tapes made of heat-treated spring material. They work as load elements, having approximately the same load/strain characteristics as a wave spring. Axial pressure is created by an expander lying on a straight flat surface. Linear expanders are supplied in the form of measuring tapes or in a roll from which the user cuts a tape of the desired length.
Expanders can also be made in the form of a ring, creating a radial force or pressure in the outer direction. Expanders can be used in the development of seals to create the necessary pressure. Radial expanders can also be used to eliminate backlash or self-centering an assembly.

About SMALLEY
The SMALLEY STEEL RING COMPANY (USA) was founded in 1918 and today is a world leader in the development and production of locking and thrust rings, as well as wave springs. The company's product line includes 10,000 standard products made of carbon and stainless steel, as well as custom-made products of special sizes made of various alloys.
-
quality
Every ring, every SMALLEY spring is designed and manufactured to the highest quality standards, using methods and processes that the company has been perfecting and grinding for over 75 years. -
application
SMALLEY supplies components mainly for the industries that require the highest quality and precision: electronics, instrumentation, aerospace, automotive, mechanical engineering, and agriculture. -
reliability
SMALLEY rings and springs, made by winding along the edge, acquire a longitudinal crystal microstructure, giving them exceptional strength, dimensional stability and predictable performance.
