Wave rings SMALLEY WHW, WSW, etc.
Wave rings are spiral locking rings having a wave–like shape along the axis. They work as standard locking rings with an additional axial tension function. Rings of this type compensate for the sum of the tolerances along the length of the mating parts, while performing the functions of locking rings. Installing a wave ring allows you to get rid of backlash and vibrations of the assembly unit. The wave rings installed in the groove create pressure both on the groove wall and on the elements of the assembly unit. Wave rings can have one, two or more turns, and can be made of various materials.
